Five-day Prosthodontics Boot Camp or one-year residency: which should I choose?

Prepared by Sid Kothari Courses from the published course programme.

Choose the five-day Boot Camp if your immediate goal is focused training in crowns, onlays, bridges and implant restorations. Choose the one-year residency if you want a broader programme spanning planning, composites, occlusion and removable prosthodontics, with four months of online case mentorship.

Compare the two learning pathways

Both programmes are taught with Dr Sid Kothari and connect clinical reasoning with practical exercises. The main differences are the breadth of the syllabus, the time commitment and the opportunity to bring cases back for discussion.

Choose the five-day Boot Camp for a focused starting point

The five-day Prosthodontics Boot Camp concentrates on anterior and posterior restorations, quadrant dentistry, crown and onlay preparations, resin-bonded and conventional bridges, impressions, provisional restorations, cementation and implant restorations for crowns and bridges.

This is the focused option if those are the topics you want to develop now. The same fixed and implant prosthodontics programme is offered as residency Module 3, so you can compare standalone attendance with the broader residency.

Choose the residency for a broader clinical workflow

The one-year Prosthodontics Boot Camp Residency extends beyond fixed restorations:

The residency is designed for both new graduates and experienced practitioners. It provides a structured way to develop a wider treatment-planning approach, apply learning between modules and discuss cases from your own practice.

Consider your diary, location and fee

Check the 2027 calendar before choosing a pathway. The residency allows location combinations across modules; the programme selector displays the dates and GST-inclusive fee for your selection. Confirm the actual sequence of your chosen dates rather than assuming that module numbers indicate calendar order.

Both course pages display the applicable fees. The residency page also provides instalment information. If you are considering a single module, contact the team to confirm availability and fees.

A practical way to decide

Write down the procedures and treatment-planning decisions you most want help with. If your list centres on indirect restorations and implant restorations, start by reviewing the five-day syllabus. If it extends into photography, smile design, occlusion, dentures and ongoing case discussion, review the residency.

Send the course team your learning goals if you would like help choosing. Read the booking and cancellation terms before registering.
